Data Stored Locally

• Receipt Images: Photos you take or select are processed locally on your device for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and are not uploaded to any external server.
• Bill Information: Items, prices, and calculations are stored locally on your device.
• Friend Names: Names you add for bill splitting are stored locally and never transmitted.
• Payment Information: Any payment details you save (bank accounts, e-wallets) are stored only on your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information
• Location data
• Contact lists
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Financial or banking information on our servers

2. How We Use Information

All data processing happens locally on your device:

• OCR Processing: Receipt images are processed on-device to extract text and item information.
• Bill Calculations: All calculations for splitting bills, taxes, and service charges are performed locally.
• Sharing: When you share bill summaries, the app generates text that you can send through your preferred messaging app. We do not process or store this shared content.

3. Third-Party Services

TemanBayar may use the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services: For app distribution and updates.
• On-Device OCR: We use on-device machine learning for receipt scanning, which does not require internet connectivity or data transmission.

4. Data Security

Since all your data stays on your device:

• Your information is protected by your device's built-in security features.
• We recommend using device security features like screen lock and encryption.
• Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.

5. Camera Permission

TemanBayar requests camera access solely for the purpose of scanning receipts. This permission is used only when you choose to take a photo of a receipt. Images captured are processed locally and are not uploaded or shared.

6. Children's Privacy

TemanBayar does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences who need to split bills among friends.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

8. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data on external servers, your data remains under your control at all times. You can:

• Delete app data through your device settings
• Uninstall the app to remove all associated data
• Choose not to grant camera permissions (you can still use manual entry)
